Adams has no Hearts sympathy

Ross County manager Derek Adams has little sympathy for Hearts after they were hit with a transfer embargo for delayed payment of wages.

Hearts were this week banned from making any new player registration until December 23 by the Scottish Premier League following two straight months of late payments for coaching staff and players.

"They've got the players there just now that can take them to the transfer window," said Adams, who takes his team to Tynecastle on Saturday.

"I don't think they'll have any problem. They're in the same situation as all the rest of the clubs in the Scottish Premier League.

"They've got a good squad of players, experienced internationals, and we would all like to have as many good international players as they do."

Adams believes John McGlynn, appointed Hearts boss after leaving Raith Rovers in the summer, knew what awaited at Tynecastle. Adams added:

"John's got a job in the SPL with Hearts and he's got a good squad there. He'll be delighted he's been given that opportunity.

"I would have thought he knew what kind of job he was taking on.

"It's a very good one. It's a good club. There's always going to be problems, but he'll see it as a major step."
