Williams wants recall

Eifion Williams hopes he has done enough to win a place in the starting line-up for Hartlepool United's League One clash at Nottingham Forest this weekend.

The striker came on as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 win at Bristol City after recovering from a hamstring injury and is keen to win back his first-team place.

"I was out for about three weeks with my hamstring and then I haven't been match fit enough for the first team so the gaffer has got me playing a few reserve games to get work on that," Williams told the club's official website.

"I don't know about the starting line-up at Forest as I still need to get 90 minutes under my belt.

"With the players here now, once you get out of the side, it is hard to get back into it but I'm hoping to make it hard for the gaffer and try and get myself back in there with my performances."
