Central defender Graeme Lee has admitted that would welcome a return to Hartlepool United, having recently ended a month-long loan stint with his former club.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at Doncaster Rovers next summer and believes that he may have to move on to gain regular first-team action.
Lee played three times for Pools in recent weeks, having not featured at all for Rovers this term, initially due to injury problems.
He told the Hartlepool Mail: "I would speak to Pools straight away. They would certainly be a club who I would listen to before making a decision.
"I will assess the situation in the next couple of days and I will be asking to go out on loan again if I can't get any games.
"I need to get in as many games as possible, because I am out of contract in the summer."
