Hartlepool United signed
Blackburn defender Eddie Nolan ahead of Thursday's loan deadline.
The teenage Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has joined the League One club on a month's loan and will fill the void created by an injury to regular central defender Ben Clark.
"He's an up and coming player who is very promising for his age," manager Danny Wilson told the club's official website.
"I'm delighted that Blackburn have allowed him to come here and I'd like to thank (manager) Mark Hughes and (reserve boss) Glyn Hodges for their help in this.
"Hopefully he'll be a good acquisition for us because he's a quality player and someone I'm very much looking forward to working with.
"I'm hoping his spell with us will be beneficial to the club and also help Eddie progress also."
