Wilson waits for Brown news
26 Nov 2008 - 13:35:00
Hartlepool United manager Danny Wilson hopes the injury James Brown sustained in the 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers is not as bad as it initially looked.
The winger had to be stretchered from the pitch after appearing to injure his right knee.
Three years ago, Brown damaged a cruciate ligament in his left knee during a pre-season game at Hibernian, but Wilson told Pools' official website: "We don't really know much about James right now - it might be a day or two before his knee settles down.
"He's gone over on it. His body has gone one way and his knee has gone the other so we're hoping it isn't too bad.
"Before we jump to any conclusions we'll wait and see what happens when the swelling goes down and the consultant has had a look, but we'll be keeping our fingers crossed."
