Wilson seeks loan moves

Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson is hoping to be able to strengthen this week by making a couple of loan signings.

Wilson feels that Pools could do with some fresh blood to make progress up the League One table from their current mid-table standing.

He told the Northern Echo: "I would like to think we can do business this week. I think we need it. I think we need to shake things up again.

"We have stepped up another level again and in that respect we have to move on and progress as a club.

"We have to be ruthless and move on because we have a responsibility to the players as well to bring in the best possible players we can.

"If we can do that, I'm sure it will enhance the results."
