Wilson's woes intensify

Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson will be without Ritchie Jones and Joel Porter for Saturday's League One clash with relegation-threatened Hereford United.

Jones is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the goalless draw with Yeovil Town while Porter suffered a thigh injury.

A dejected Wilson told Pools' official website: "Does anyone ever give me any good news? I've been waiting for some for ages!

"It looks like we'll lose Joel for at least the next game and we don't know if it will be for longer than that and Ritchie has obviously reached five cards.

"It's an opportunity for someone though and we won't get downhearted by this - we're disappointed but we'll dust ourselves down and get ourselves up for another big game next weekend."
