Wilson hails Pools' character

Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson hailed his side's character after they came back from two goals down to win 3-2 at Walsall.

Antony Sweeney, Matty Robson and James Brown were all on target as Pools secured their first win in six games to move up to mid-table.

"The character of the lads here has never been in question," Wilson told the club's official website.

"But once again we weren't strong enough in defensive areas - the opening goal was a crazy one to give away and we can't keep doing that to ourselves.

"We scored three fantastic goals - if you look at each one of them, there's some great play involved.

"Matty Robson's strike was a superb effort and Antony Sweeney did extremely well to set up James Brown for the winner."
