Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson has been rocked by the news that instrumental defender Darren Williams faces a month on the sidelines with a calf injury.
The former Sunderland and Cardiff City star suffered the injury just before half-time in Friday evening's disappointing 2-0 defeat against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.
Wilson is now counting the costs of Williams' absence from the side and hopes another squad player can come in and do a good job in the meantime.
He told the club's official website: "It's a real disappointment because he's been very solid in every game for us this season.
"It's a blow for him and for me because of his form and we'll miss him.
"But that just presents the chance for someone else to come in and show their worth to the team."
