Wad wanted game to continue

Hartlepool boss Mick Wadsworth felt their clash with Notts County should not have been called off and claimed the abandonment suited the visitors.New County manager Paul Ince's second game in charge came to a premature end after just three minutes when referee Carl Boyeson called an inspection and then abandoned the game due to a waterlogged pitch."Did he have a choice? It's tough call. In 30 years as a boss I've not seen anyone injured because of a wet pitch," said Wadsworth."The quality of the game suffers, but it is about adaptability. (The ref) went out before and I got a negative feel from the outset we wouldn't get very far."I'm disappointed, as you get ready for games and fans turn up in the weather. The players came back out, but it's one of those things. It's gone now, let's look to Saturday, it changes our week around now."He added: "It suited them to be off rather than us, I'm not bleating, but they've had no time to work under a new manager. I would be the same in his shoes."
