Turner ponders tactical changes

Pools host Walsall on Saturday after a 2-0 setback at Colchester last weekend, where they conceded three penalties in the process. Turner may hand 6ft 5in Icelandic defender Armann Bjornsson his debut against the Saddlers after his team were bombarded with aerial balls at Colchester. The Pools boss told the Northern Echo: "The two big lads up front for Colchester are a handful when the ball's coming into your penalty box. That must be the most balls we've had into our box in a long time. That's how you score goals and get incidents like penalties. "If you keep getting that amount of balls going in, you only want one slip or mistake and it can be costly. They play to a system which suits the big lads up front. I don't think we put balls into the areas which suit our centre-forwards. "Teams who get out of this league play a style that gets you out the league. You've got to have action in the penalty box. Doing what Colchester did on Saturday and getting crosses into the penalty box, that's what gets you goals."
