Hartlepool United striker Joel Porter has given boss Danny Wilson something to think about, after finally recovering from long-term injury problems.
The 29-year-old Australian has suffered with a number of knee problems in recent times, but has now scored ten goals this season, with his current contract due to run out next summer.
Wilson told the Northern Echo after the 4-0 thrashing of Gillingham: "That was the old Joel I've heard of, not seen, but only heard of so far.
"He was fantastic, showed great ability and produced a very good finish with it as well.
"His link-up play was good throughout the game and he brought players in well."
Porter joined Pools in November 2003 and has scored 40 goals in 153 appearances in all competitions for the club to date.
