Pools wait on Porter

Hartlepool United are hoping that striker Joel Porter doesn't require surgery to cure a knee problem. The 27-year-old hitman limped out of Pools' last two games and, after missing the majority of the last campaign with a knee injury, is set to see a specialist. "It's not the same knee that he's had problems with in the past, but we want to get it checked out all the same," Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson said. "But until we get the prognosis from the specialist we don't really want to comment any further."
