Pools hopeful over Kyle return

Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson has not given up hope of re-signing Kevin Kyle in time for Saturday's FA Cup first round tie at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Kyle returned to parent club Coventry City after last weekend's defeat to Leyton Orient following the end of his one-month loan deal.

The striker netted three times in seven appearances for Pools and Wilson is desperate to bring him back to Victoria Park.

"Talks are still ongoing," he told the club's official website. "We'd love to have him available for Saturday but I'm not sure.

"At the moment nothing is happening but come Saturday morning that might be different."
