Hartlepool United are desperate to extend striker Kevin Kyle's loan stay at the club.
The 27-year-old Coventry City forward has scored three times in seven appearances for Pools since arriving at Victoria Park last month.
Director of sport Chris Turner said: "Kevin was obviously a great asset during the month he's spent at the club already and we're keen to keep him here if possible.
"We've been speaking to Coventry and remain confident that we can retain Kevin.
"He's been happy playing his football here, he's settled in well and, if we can bring him back, then we'll do that."
