Hartlepool United have made their first signing of the year with the capture of forward Liam Henderson on loan from Watford.
Henderson is a former Pools trainee and the Gateshead-born player returns to Victoria Park on a three-month deal.
Director of sport Chris Turner told the club's official website: "He has done extremely well down at Watford and when the opportunity came for us to have a look at him, we quickly took it.
"Liam has played in the Championship and we are going to take a look at him over the next three months."
Turner also revealed that the club are far from ending their transfer business during January, as he tries to add to his wafer-thin squad.
"It is very important that we do get some bodies in to add to the squad because we are down to just sixteen players, fourteen outfield, and we have to add to that," he added.
"Liam won't be the only player coming in over the next few days - we are awaiting two clubs to get back to us on two players who we are very close to."
