New Pools deal for Richie

Hartlepool United stalwart Richie Humphreys has agreed a new contract with the club.

The 30-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday player has been at Victoria Park since the summer of 2001 and has made almost 350 first-team appearances for the club.

Humphreys holds the club record for the number of consecutive league appearances - he featured in 234 games in succession.

Formerly a striker, Humphreys has most recently been playing at left-back for Danny Wilson's side.
