Monkhouse extends Pools contract

Hartlepool winger Andy Monkhouse has signed a new contract at Victoria Park. Monkhouse, 28, initally joined the club on loan from Swindon in November 2006 before completing a permanent move in January 2007. Manager Chris Turner was delighted to retain his services, telling the club's website: "I think it is a massive signing for us this summer."
