Youngster Kean to shine for Pool

Hartlepool will give Jake Kean his debut at Brentford after Scott Flinders sustained a hand injury in training. Flinders will visit a specialist to determine the extent of the problem, but youngster Kean, on loan from Blackburn, will definitely start. James Brown will also miss out despite returning to training following an ankle injury. Brown has not featured in either of Pools` previous two games and looks set to miss out again despite receiving round the clock treatment in an attempt to be fit in time. Ritchie Humphreys may continue to fill the void left by Brown and Fabian Yantoro should continue to fill in for Joe Gamble who will also miss out on the trip to London after failing to recover from the ankle injury that has kept him out for two games. Neil Austin is likely to continue at full back after getting through 90 minutes against Exeter on his first appearance since the opening day of the season.
