West unimpressed by Pools trio
Jones has been sidelined by a niggling groin injury, Robson has been troubled by a hamstring strain and McCunnie has finally overcome a knee injury.
But assistant manager Colin West admitted the players showed little to suggest they will be thrown into the first team for Saturday's clash with Millwall.
He told the Hartlepool Mail: "After last Saturday's result (a 2-0 defeat at Cheltenham), there was an opening for somebody to be nice and bright and show they were desperate to get into the team.
"I can't think of anybody off the top of my head who did that. I said to the boys I don't mind failing trying to do the right thing."
