We deserved win - Wadsworth

16 February 2011 09:30
Hartlepool first-team coach Mick Wadsworth felt his team were good value for their 2-1 win over Charlton. Andy Monkhouse and Gary Liddle struck either side of a Nathan Eccleston equaliser to hand Pools a second victory in three outings. Wadsworth hopes the result will prove a catalyst for good form as Pools enter of a run of three successive home games. He said: "It's three home games in a week for us and we've got a good win. I'm greedy, I want nine points from this run. "The important thing is to put performances back to back and now we look at the tiredness and strain on the players before we take on MK Dons on Saturday. "There was never really a period when they were on top, we were generally the better team. I'm thrilled for everyone, it was a really good game at a high-tempo. Excellence is simplicity done well and that's what we did in this game."
