Wadsworth rues `tough week' for Pools

Hartlepool first-team coach Mick Wadsworth was left to reflect on a disappointing week after watching his side lose 2-0 at home to Rochdale. Pools threw away a two-goal lead against Walsall before succumbing to goals from Gary Jones and Craig Dawson against Dale to make it two defeats on the spin. "It's been a tough week, no doubt," Wadsworth said. "There's been some really good things this season and some times when it's tough to take. This was disappointing, but it's part of sport isn't it? "We started well and brightly but the goal changed the game and gave them confidence. We forced them back at times but it didn't happen for us. "The response, we changed the strikers, wingers to get back into it and they did OK in that respect. Goals have been hard to come by at times. Sometimes it's in your locker but this time we got in good situations without making the most of it. "Yes, we've got injuries, but we are what we are and don't bleat about it. Losing players, key players at that, doesn't help and we have players we cannot leave out."
