Wadsworth hails `I was there` moment

Hartlepool first-team coach Mick Wadsworth was delighted to see Scott Flinders make amends for an earlier error by heading the equaliser against Bournemouth. The goalkeeper allowed Donal McDermott`s low shot from 25 yards to squirm under his body and into the net to make it 2-0 after Steve Lovell had put the Cherries ahead. But Adam Boyd pulled a goal back from the penalty spot before Flinders` header sensationally made it 2-2. "The second goal was a howler but Scott he held his hands up and he repaid us later," said Wadsworth. "No-one remembers the result, but the fact that our goalkeeper scored a fantastic header. "You couldn't write the script could you? He makes a right cow's botty of the second goal and then does that. I've been looking for a striker all season - turns out the goalkeeper's one! "This was a nice way to sign off our home campaign, and for many it will be one of those 'I was there' moments."
