Turner upbeat despite absentees

Monkhouse must serve a one-match ban against his hometown club, meaning Pools could be without eight players for the already testing encounter.[LNB]But Turner believes he has adequate cover, with full-back Neil Austin making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring problem.[LNB]He told the Hartlepool Mail: "Austin will probably be in at right-back because he's only missed a couple of weeks. That will probably allow (Antony) Sweeney to cover for Monkhouse in midfield."[LNB]Turner added: "I've got to be totally honest and say I'm amazed he (Monkhouse) has gone so long on four bookings. The unfortunate thing is he misses the game against his hometown team.[LNB]"I'm sure he would have been looking on the calendar looking forward to that fixture. But from our point of view, at least he'll have fresh legs for Monday against Oldham. We had seven players out on Saturday and then Monkhouse will be missing against Leeds. It's a disappointment but we're coping okay with it."[LNB][LNB]
