Turner to ship out strikers

Hartlepool director of sport Chris Turner feels he has too many strikers in his squad and hopes to loan a few out to clubs in lower divisions in the near future. Turner has several attacking options in Denis Behan, Armann Bjornsson, Adam Boyd, James Brown, Billy Greulich, Colin Larkin and Michael Mackay. But, with some of them expected to be merely fringe players in the new npower League One season, Turner is looking to get a few temporary moves sorted. He told the Hartlepool Mail: "We have got too many strikers. It is difficult when you have got these pre-season games to give all the strikers in the squad some minutes. "The loan market is an avenue we will explore in the coming week or two, trying to loan people out to League Two and below to get them regular football."
