Turner: Pools would miss Porter

The 30-year-old is expected to leave Victoria Park at the end of the season and return to an Australian A-League side, with strong rumours linking him to newly-formed Gold Coast United. Porter has been one of the only bright spots for Pools in a dismal campaign, and Turner told the Hartlepool Mail: "Any striker that scores 20 goals in a season at any level, at any team is worth his weight in gold. "Whenever Joel Porter plays well, Hartlepool play well, so if he does go to Australia then it's a massive disappointment for me personally because I'd love him to be here next season. "He's a massive plus player for us."
