Turner: Pools need to start scoring

Brown made his first start since November and scored in the reserves' 1-1 draw with Lincoln on Wednesday. He is unlikely to be involved from the start in Saturday's home clash with Southend, but Turner believes his steady progress will increase competition in a positive way.[LNB]Turner told the Hartlepool Mail: "Our strikers seem to have one good half then one bad half at the moment. They have to be consistent and have to be looking over their shoulder now.[LNB]"Roy O'Donovan has had two good games and James Brown is virtually ready to start games. The others need to start pulling their fingers out and scoring goals.[LNB]"I'm not putting any pressure on them there. I'm just stating facts. I just want one of them to start scoring.[LNB]"A striker's job is to score goals and it doesn't take Einstein to realise that the teams in the top 10 have players who have got 18 to 20 goals. We haven't got anywhere near that and if we want to have success, we need it."[LNB][LNB]
