Turner pledges Pools turnaround

Results elsewhere meant the 4-1 loss at Bristol Rovers was not enough to send Pools down, but the manner of the loss emphasised to Turner what needs to be done. "In many ways the game typified our season," he said. "In the first five minutes of both halves we conceded two easy goals and that has been our problem. "The table doesn't lie and we have to tighten up in all areas across midfield and at the back. "Work has already started to line up new players and there will be changes. We went with pretty much the same squad as last season and, while the players gave everything, we weren't strong enough. "I feared it would be a tough season from early on. We haven't survived in a blaze of glory, but our objective has been achieved and we need to ensure we are better next season."
