Boss Chris Turner was pleased with Hartlepool`s performance during the 1-1 friendly draw against FC Den Bosch. Trialist Evan Horwood put Pools in front but the Dutch side quickly hit back. "For the second game of pre-season I thought that was a terrific performance," Turner told the club`s official website. "When we went one up I felt we could have held on to that but overall we showed a good work ethic, kept the ball well, passed it about and I was very pleased with everyone. "In the second half I felt we controlled it and the three midfield men had excellent games. "This trip has been good not just for the games but for getting the lads together again after the break in a relaxed environment where we can do the work we need to do."
