Town had gone ahead after nine minutes through a Michael Nelson own goal but Hartlepool equalised courtesy of Ritchie Jones in the 36th minute.[LNB]Turner's side were then reduced to 10 men after Daniel Nardiello was given his marching orders for a late lunge on goalkeeper Alex Smithies.[LNB]He said: "I knew before we came it would be a big test for us but we got a very good point. In the second half we got something out of the game through sheer guts and determination."[LNB]Of Nardiello's dismissal, he added: "The way the game is today it is a red card, there is no doubt about it.[LNB]"I knew as soon as there was a melee that the referee would give him a straight red. When I used to play, you used to get challenges like this every week. I don't think the goalkeeper was hurt that badly. I have had my hand broken and fractured my jaw before but the game has changed now."[LNB][LNB]
