Turner delighted with clean sheet

A goal by Peter Hartley two minutes before half-time earned Pools victory, as they moved into 10th spot in League One following their second win in succession. Rovers were down to 10 men for the closing stages after substitute Charlie Barnett was red carded for a two-footed tackle on Neil Austin. Turner said: "We have played a lot better and lost this season, created more chances and lost. "We've kept three clean sheets in a row and the players have the mentality to do that - sometimes it happens and George Graham loved those 1-0 results didn't he for Arsenal. "They went 4-3-3 and you wonder whether to switch and combat it or stay with what we know. We did that and won, which was very pleasing. Peter is only 20, came from Sunderland and is learning his trade in the first team. The goal and performance will give him a big lift."
