Turner: Boyd closing in on his best

Boyd may be Pools' leading scorer with four goals, but he has struggled with fitness and sharpness so far this season. However, Turner believes the 27-year-old, who has started the last two games, is getting better week by week. He told the Hartlepool Mail: "It's taken a little bit of time. I've said to Adam that there are people who want to see him fail and people who want to see him succeed. "He knows he has the support of me and Colin (West). We want him to succeed because we've got him back here and he's showing signs of a good Adam Boyd now. "You see him running now, closing down, running in behind and holding the ball up against big centre-halves."
