Swindon holds talks with Robson

Robson spent seven years with Pools and was offered a new deal but he rejected it due to the fact he was not guaranteed first-team football. "I've enquired about him and an agent phoned me about him but I haven't taken it any further at the moment," Wilson, who used to manage Robson at Victoria Park, told the Swindon Advertiser. "He's got very good assets that we haven't got here. What he's got is a massive amount of pace and in some areas that is more than we've got here. If we feel he can bolster the squad and help us in certain areas and give us something we haven't got then we would have to consider it. "When I was up there and he was playing in the side he started to come on to a very good game and I thought he would kick on. "Unfortunately he's gone the opposite and been released but he's one of numerous players available at this time and we just have to see what's around. If we jump in too early with one thing then we may regret it if someone else comes along."
