Striker looks to learn from West

The 25-year-old, a summer recruit from Cork City, grabbed his second goal of the season as Pools eased to a 3-0 triumph at Oldham last week. Despite his impressive start to his Hartlepool career, Behan is eager to improve his all-round game under West, who made almost 500 career appearances as a striker. He told the Northern Echo: "Colin was a good striker in his day, I'm sure I can learn from him. "It's been a busy start to the season with a lot of midweek games, so training has been a bit disrupted. "Now we have the chance to I'm sure we will get down to some real good work on the training ground. West was a great player in his day, he's a great coach as well so he can help bring my game on as well."
