Roy joy for Pools boss Turner

The Irishman was signed on loan from Sunderland last month and showed his prowess in front of goal as the Pools moved six points clear of the bottom four to pile more misery on Southend, who had Alan McCormack dismissed.[LNB]"It was a very important win, three excellent finishes," said Turner. "Roy has brought a new dimension to the team and his work ethic is superb. He's had a bit of a rough time at Sunderland of late and he will enjoy the day.[LNB]"Up front we haven't had a real partnership for a couple of years, so hopefully Roy and Adam Boyd can flourish. Adam has done well of late and having some pace alongside him helps no end. His ball for the second goal split the defence excellently to put Roy in."[LNB]"We've had two good home wins in the last two games," Turner added. "In front of your own fans it's vital to do that. Some of our best performances have been away from home, but doing it at home - seven goals in two home games - is superb.[LNB]"We scored three and kept a clean sheet, which was very welcome because it's been a long time since we had one."[LNB][LNB]
