Pools to drop referee complaint
Captain Michael Nelson claimed after the game that the Hertfordshire official had sworn at him during the clash at Roots Hall.
But in an statement on their official website, the club have said: "The club fully supports Michael's right to make such personal statements but we would advise that his viewpoint was not reflective of the position taken by the Football Club.
"The club has carefully considered whether or not to take any action towards the referee but have decided in the interests of the Respect Campaign (which the club fully supports) and of football in general it is not in anyone's interests to take the matter any further."
