Pools still without strikers

Hartlepool caretaker manager Mick Wadsworth will once again be without Adam Boyd (back) and James Brown (ankle) for the clash with Bristol Rovers. However, both players are expected to return to training next week and will begin building up their fitness ready for a first-team return. Antony Sweeney has stepped up his comeback from injury, playing an hour and scoring for the reserves in midweek and he will be in contention to make the bench once again, while midfielder Ritchie Humphreys is definitely out with a thigh problem. Jake Kean continues in goal as Scott Flinders and Andy Rafferty are still sidelined with long-term injuries while youngsters Billy Greulich, Callum Martin (both ankle) and Dylan Purvis (knee) are also in the treatment room.
