Pools duo in fitness battle

Hartlepool first-team coach Mick Wadsworth will assess the fitness of James Brown and Paul Murray ahead of the home clash with Huddersfield. Striker Brown missed the 2-1 win at Exeter on Saturday with an ankle injury he sustained against Southampton, while experienced midfielder Murray was sidelined with a sore knee. Both players may come back into contention to face Lee Clark's promotion chasers but left-back Neil Austin, who has missed six games with a calf problem, is once again a doubt. Wadsworth has no other injury or suspension problems to contend with when his Pools side, who currently occupy 12th place in npower League One, look to secure back-to-back league wins for only the third time this season.
