Pools denied by Robins rally

Two goals in as many second-half minutes saw Swindon come back to earn a 2-2 draw at Hartlepool. After being outplayed in the opening half, the visitors pressed in the second and were rewarded with goals from Thomas Dossevi and Charlie Austin. Pools took the lead after four minutes when Adam Boyd knocked home from eight yards after Antony Sweeney's shot was saved by David Lucas. And eight minutes later the lead was doubled. Lecsinel Jean-Francois headed a long ball back to his keeper, but it fell shot and Sweeney nipped in to lob home into the empty net from distance. Joe Gamble headed a goalbound Austin header off the line and home keeper Scott Flinders made a superb double stop to deny first Austin and then Jon-Paul McGovern. The visitors put an extra striker on to chase the game and were soon rewarded. Sam Collins' defensive header fell only to the feet of substitute Thomas Dossvei and his first-time strike found the net. Then two minutes later, the home defence got into a muddle and Austin got goal side to confidently finish to earn boss Danny Wilson a point at his former club.
