Pools boss takes a Gamble on Joe

The 27-year-old, who has won two full international caps for the Republic of Ireland, had been training with Pools after Turner spotted him whilst on a summer scouting mission.[LNB]And Turner has no qualms about bringing Gamble from the League of Ireland to League One.[LNB]"Joe's a ball-winning, passing midfielder who will give us some good experience in the squad," Turner told the club's official website.[LNB]"I felt he is the type of player we've been lacking and we're delighted we've been able to bring him to Victoria Park."[LNB]Gamble spent three years at Reading between 2001 and 2004, but failed to make an impression at the Madejski Stadium, while he was given his chance in international football by Steve Staunton in 2007.[LNB][LNB]
