Pools boss shrugs off controversy

Ben Chorley had already cancelled out Michael Nelson's opener when referee Carl Boyeson awarded a spot-kick after Lewis Guy went down in the area in a tangle with Antony Kay, leaving Rovers boss Ronnie Moore fuming. But Turner said: "The referee makes his decisions on what he sees or what he thinks he sees, I was a long way away and couldn't see it clearly. "But whatever the rights and wrongs of that, I'm delighted with the result. We worked hard in awful conditions and since I took charge in December the players have been tremendous, apart from in one or two games. "They have worked really hard for each other and for the team, and in this game they got their reward for that. "Sometimes decisions go your way and sometimes they don't but if you work hard then you always have a chance, even in conditions like we had in this game."
