Pools boss eyes midfielder
Turner has targeted the Sarpsborg player to rival Andy Monkhouse on the left-hand side of midfield. Negotiations are ongoing and international clearance has still to be finalised, but Turner is confident a deal can be reached.
He told the club's official website: "Jon-Andre is a very energetic player and could provide us with some good competition down the left side, so we are interested.
"We need somebody on that side to challenge Andy Monkhouse following Matty Robson's decision to leave, so it's an area I've been looking at for a while.
"I've been out to Norway a number of times in the last few months to watch games in the two top divisions over there, just to get a feel for the players and the level.
"I've also been to the Republic of Ireland and Scotland, so it's been a busy three or four months but I think it's important we see if there are opportunities in these countries."
