Goalkeeper Scott Flinders could return to the bench when Hartlepool host Dagenham. The 24-year-old completed an hour of a friendly against Horden in midweek after suffering a thumb ligament injury in September, and has resumed full training. On-loan shot-stopper Jake Kean has impressed this season and he is likely to continue until Flinders is deemed able to play a full 90 minutes. Defender Sam Collins will miss the game with the knee injury he sustained against Oldham on New Year's Day. First-team coach Mick Wadsworth is hoping to sign a new centre-back on loan as cover. Striker Denis Behan will miss out with a hamstring problem suffered in training.
