Antony Sweeney is set to return to Hartlepool's squad for the npower League One game against Yeovil but fellow midfielder Gary Liddle misses out through suspension.
Sweeney has been sidelined since suffering a gash to his ankle during the win over Plymouth last month.
Liddle will serve the first match of his three-game ban following his red card in the weekend draw at Swindon.
Winger Andy Monkhouse is expected to shake off a hamstring complaint, but the game comes too soon for striker James Brown and defender Neil Austin. The duo are suffering from ankle and calf problems respectively.
Pools will move five points clear of Yeovil with victory over their opponents, who are still not clear of the relegation dogfight.
