Humphreys delighted by fixtures
Pools will begin the new campaign with a trip to MK Dons on August 8 before returning to Victoria Park for back-to-back home games against Charlton and Bristol Rovers.
"At first glance it looks a tough first month for us, but it will be interesting to be playing against those sorts of teams," Humphreys told the club's official website.
"MK Dons did well last season, so we know it will be hard but there are lots of big games to look forward to, that's for sure..
"Leeds on Boxing Day will be a good fixture for the fans and the players - we're sick of not getting a result there so we'll be hoping it can come this season. All in all there are some really good games for everyone to look forward to and now the fixtures are released we can start to get excited about things."
Hartlepool have confirmed that their Carling Cup first-round clash at Coventry will take place on Tuesday, August 11, while the club's tour of Holland will commence on July 13. Chris Turner's men will take on FC Volendam before taking on SC Cambuur on Wednesday July 15.
