Hodcroft slams council

Hartlepool chairman Ken Hodcroft has taken another swipe at Hartlepool Borough Council after the club were left frustrated in its bid to buy Victoria Park. Hodcroft is angry that the Council have refused to sanction the sale of the stadium, which the Pools supremo claims is hampering the owners` efforts to take the club forward. Hodcroft said in his AGM statement: "As we have failed to progress the ground purchase issue the owners have decided to put major planned projects on hold but we have continued to make improvements to some areas of the club at substantial financial cost. "It is now obvious that the council do not realise that the owners do not have unlimited patience. "If financial support is withdrawn from the owners then the club will disappear from League One (and possibly beyond) and the council will have to answer to the townspeople/businesses and the people who elected them."
