Duo ready for Pools debuts

Hartlepool's new loan signings Matteo Lanzoni and Matty Dolan are hoping to play in the home game against Wycombe.

Lanzoni arrived from Cambridge earlier in the week while Dolan returned to the club from Bradford on Thursday and the pair could go straight into boss Paul Murray's starting line-up.

Murray is continuing to monitor full-back Michael Duckworth, who is doubtful after being forced out of last week's home defeat to York with a groin injury.

Midfielder Tommy Miller (calf) and winger Jack Compton (knee) remain sidelined, while defender Stuart Parnaby has been ruled out for the season after undergoing knee surgery to repair a damaged patella tendon.

Fred Onyedinma could make his Wycombe bow when they make the trip.

The Blues confirmed that the 18-year-old Millwall attacker will go straight into the squad as they look to stay at the top of League Two against the side bottom of the Football League.

Matt McClure will hope his goal against Cheltenham last weekend having stepped off the bench is enough to earn him a start and Gareth Ainsworth could be light on numbers once more having only been able to name five substitutes at Whaddon Road.

Sam Wood was only of his absentees with a tweaked groin and will be assessed by their medical team ahead of kick off.
