Bates to miss out for Pools
Matthew Bates will miss Hartlepool's Capital One Cup clash with Barclays Premier League new-boys Bournemouth.
Defender Bates suffered an Achilles injury in the early stages of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Stevenage and is expected to be replaced by Andrew Boyce, who came on for his debut at the weekend after signing on loan from Scunthorpe.
