Hartlepool to make Dutch return

Pools were regulars at the KNVB training camp in Zeist before breaking with routine last season to tour Scotland. However, director of sport Chris Turner is keen to go back to the base of the Dutch national side, and they will take in games against FC Volendam on July 13 and SC Cambuur two days later. Turner told the club's official website: "I started the club going across to the KNVB in Holland nine years ago and I've always found the complex to be very hospitable and user-friendly. "The pitches are generally very good and its surroundings are ideal for us, especially if we have a few new players because it's the perfect environment to build team spirit. I enjoyed Scotland last season but I think it's good to go to Holland and get away from everything." Hartlepool will also play York at Kit Kat Crescent on July 24 and Blue Square Premier newcomers Gateshead at the International Stadium on July 29.
