Flinders prepared for tough month

Pools took a deserved point against Paul Ince's promotion hopefuls on Saturday, but it is just the start, with games coming thick and fast in August. Chris Turner's men face a Carling Cup trip to Coventry on Wednesday night, while there are also games against relegated sides Charlton and Norwich to come before September. Flinders told the Hartlepool Mail: "We've probably got the hardest opening month in the whole of League One. "But I think that draw on Saturday went a long way to starting a good month and we can see where it takes us. It's nice going to places where the pressure is not on."
